You are receiving this Notice from the Colorado Division of Insurance (“Division”) because your Colorado insurance producer license, or an insurance agency license for which you are the designated responsible producer, has expired due to failure to come into compliance by December 31, 2020.
On April 2, 2020, the Division provided relief to licensees during the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Colorado by issuing Emergency Regulation 20-E-04, which provided insurance producers, cash-bonding agents, and professional cash-bail agents with a temporary continuation of license renewal deadlines, including continuing education requirements and licensing fees. On October 13, 2020, the Division notified insurance producers, cash-bonding agents, and professional cash-bail agents that this relief had been extended to December 31, 2020.
Reinstatement Due to Failure to Continue License
Pursuant to Division Regulation 1-2-10, insurance producers who fail to continue/renew their license by the expiration date will be required to reinstate their license by submitting a new application and the initial application fees. You can apply for a reinstatement or new license application at the link below.
